Hero Fiesta lights up Onitsha

The Chuba Ikpeazu Stadium in Onitsha was the place to be on November 23, as popular Nigerian music artistes took to the stage to thrill the crowd at the fourth edition of the Hero Lager Fiesta. Artistes on parade include Duncan Mighty, Timaya, Harrysong, Omawunmi, Reekado Banks and Rudeboy of P-Square performed their popular songs as they celebrated with Hero Lager, a premium brand from the stable of International Breweries, a proud part of the AB InBev family.

As a brand that has always represented the South East of Nigeria, the music fiesta themed the Bridge Edition aims at identifying and elevating major landmarks that typifies South East, which the Niger Bridge epitomizes. This edition of the music fiesta is also significant as it connects the brand with its teeming consumers and customers.

Speaking at the event, Marketing Director, International Breweries, Plc., Mrs. Tolu Adedeji said the Hero fiesta attracts thousands of fans, who are loyal to the brand and appreciate what it stands for.

“We made the decision to make Onitsha the venue of our annual fiesta as a way of appreciating the acceptance and the loyalty enjoyed by Hero Lager beer and it gets bigger and better with each passing year. We hope to continue bringing so much value to our customers and maintaining the good relationship,” Adedeji said.

Launched into the Nigerian market in August 2012, Hero Lager beer worked its way into the hearts of consumers in the South Eastern region, who christened the beer ‘Oh Mpa’, in reverence and as a mark of respect (Mpa means father in Igbo language). The premium lager, Hero, was also only recently knighted with a new crown cork -a Red Cork and with the title of ‘Dike Mba Nile.’

Marketing Manager of the brand Obumneke Okoli, said, “Hero is a well-established brand in the eastern part of the country and International Breweries Plc. is tremendously thrilled to bring to them a night packed with fun and excitement as a way of expressing our unwavering gratitude to our Igbo brothers.”

In addition to the fiesta, more winners emerged in the HEROnaire mega promo, a reward scheme that offers consumers above the legal drinking age with N1 million for eight weeks over the next two months.

Hon Prince Ned Woko donates Money to Indigenes of Anioma for Medical Treatments

News reaching Nightwatchng.com is that Hon Prince Ned Nwoko has donated some millions to cater for the medical treatment of some physically challenged Indigenes of Anioma.

The Honorable made his donations to the Medical care of the Physically challenged indigenes when they paid him a courtesy call at his Mount Ned Nwoko resort Idumuje-Ugboko yesterday.

Briefly addressing the physically challenged indigenes of Anioma, whom he called his friends, Prince Ned Nwoko admonished them to use the funds judiciously in taking good medical care of themselves while stating that his phone line remains open to them whenever they need to talk with him as always.

Responding, one of the Anioma beneficiaries who pleaded anonymity appreciated the Star Prince for always responding to their needs whenever they called on him.

According to the speaker,

“if only we have two of your kind in Anioma land, Anioma would have witnessed more massive human capital development but it is our prayers that God will continue to protect and bless you more for being a father to the fatherless and to the needy”

Hon Ned Prince Nwoko in a philanthropic bid recently donated the sum of 100million naira for the reconstruction of a federal road in Delta state and another 59million Naira as scholarship grant for Anioma and verifiable Delta state students.

His consistent positive gesture towards Humanity has put him in the spotlight and on the news of recent.

“Prince Ned Nwoko has done alot for the Anioma people and we are happy to be associated with his brand always, this is not the first nor the last time that he has been assisting us. We pray God to always bless and enrich his circle”- Madam isioma, an elderly woman who identified herself as a retired head teacher from Isele-Azagba acknowledged.

The young man revealed that he and the pastor’s daughter later got married at a registry without the pastor parents’ approval.

Ever since they got married, the parents of his wife have been harassing him and arresting him.

He says he’s chosen to speak out so that they will stop harassing him. The wife also wants to have good relationship with her Muslim husband and with her pastor parents.
